What "Luxury Finish" Actually Means
Edmonton has hundreds of painting companies. Very few can handle an 8,000 sq. ft. custom home with floor-to-ceilingmillwork, statement staircases, lacquered cabinetry, hand-applied stain, and a Level 5 drywall finish that looks perfectunder directional lighting. Blue Nile Painting is built for exactly this work. Sameh trained for five years in Paris on luxuryresidential projects and heritage buildings before founding Blue Nile in Edmonton in 2010. His first Edmonton projectwas a 10,000 sq. ft. custom home — and that standard has never changed.

07 · Questions & Answers
Luxury Custom Home Painting FAQ
A few common questions before starting an interior painting project.
Do you work directly with our builder and interior designer?
Yes. We coordinate with your GC, site supervisor and designer from the very beginning — aligned on schedule, colour specifications, and finish requirements before we start. Clear communication between all trades is one of the things that sets Blue Nile apart on luxury custom home projects.
Can you handle stain, lacquer and paint on the same project?
Yes. We handle the complete interior finish scope — stain and lacquer for staircases and millwork, spray lacquer for cabinetry and premium paint for walls, ceilings and trim. One contractor, one standard, zero coordination headaches between different finishing trades.
How far in advance should we book for a full custom home project?
For full custom home interior projects we recommend booking 4–8 weeks in advance. Call Sameh or Pam directly to discuss your timeline and we will plan around your construction or move-in schedule.
Do you provide a written warranty on luxury home projects?
Yes. Every project — including full luxury custom home interiors — comes with a written workmanship warranty. West and completely behind our work. If anything is not right after we leave, we come back and make it right.
What size homes do you work on?
We regularly work on homes from 4,000 to 15,000+ sq. ft. across Edmonton and area. Our first Edmonton project was a 10,000 sq. ft. custom home — large luxury projects are our core strength and what we are built for.
What paint products do you use on luxury custom homes?
We specify Benjamin Moore Aura, Sherwin-Williams Emerald and Sikkens for stain and exterior work. For lacquer and cabinetry we use professional spray lacquers rated for kitchen and high-use environments. We never use builder-grade products on luxury projects — the finish quality difference is visible and lasting.
Share a few details about your custom home, high-end repaint or commercial space and we’ll prepare a tailored proposal. No pressure, no pushy sales – just honest advice on the best way to approach your painting work.
